Once saved, always saved???
This is only one topic in the book I’m currently reading, The Healthy Living Handbook Simple, Everyday Habits for Your Body, Mind and Spirit by Laura Harris Smith.

Number 7 is Stay Put…
“…verses corroberating the possibility of denying Christ…” outnumber “once saved, always saved” by ten times!
Here are some of the first references Laura uses:
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. 1Timothy 4:1
If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. John 15:6
For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. Matthew 24:24
For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Hebrews 10:26, 27
If we endure,
We shall also reign with Him.
If we deny Him,
He also will deny us.
13 If we are faithless,
He remains faithful;
He cannot deny Himself 2Timothy 2:12-13
Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent. Revelation 2:4-5
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame. Hebrews 6:4-6
The LORD promises to never leave us, BUT, we can choose to walk away from Him. The days are evil, and many forsake gathering with other Believers. Hearts are hurt, disillusioned, and fall out of love with Jesus. Church politics and vain arguments drive wedges between souls. Some are turned away with the love and practice of evil, or deceived by false teachers doing false signs and wonders.

I recommend Laura Harris Smith’s book to anyone who wants guidance to contemplate where they stand with Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Laura gives simple ways to come into alignment with God’s original plan for our life on earth as it is in heaven.
I pray that many will be renewed and brought into the plans the Father has for them. Amen
Jesus gave us a mighty, encouraging promise with this verse in the Gospel of Matthew:
But he who endures to the end shall be saved. Matthew 24:13
Shalom to you, my readers, until next time. Walk in the way of the Lord and be a blessing to those the Lord puts in your life.
