Random Mid-August Musing

Welcome readers to another random post. I hope some of these thoughts will bless you or cause you to act as you muse with me this week!

I have been listening to Exploring the Industry with Shawn Bolz. https://bolzministries.com/ It is encouraging for me to hear what God is doing through obedient servants in Los Angeles. My daughter and her husband are raising their two children there and it has given me hope that they will come into their destiny in Christ as many others have in the Hollywood area. There are many people in the industry that went against their families or church to follow the dream in their heart and walked away from God and church. Those who have done ministry within the industry are finding these lost ones and bringing them back into the fold. It’s good to hear about the excellent Christian content in media that is coming forth when these people catch the fire of God’s love.

Do you realize we can die peacefully in our bed, couch or favorite chair; or like Enoch, Elijah and Moses, be taken up to heaven; in perfect health of body, mind and soul?

Deuteronomy 34:7Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died. His eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished.

I’ve heard that because Moses saw God’s glory, that glory made it so he would never die [remember his glowing face that the people made him cover?], so God had to take him out of this world. What will it look like when we shine with the Glory of God? God hid Moses’ body so the people couldn’t find his tomb and worship him as their idol.

But not all the patriarchs made it to old age unscathed. Isaac’s eyes were dim.

Genesis 27:1a ‘Now it came to pass, when Isaac was old and his eyes were so dim that he could not see, that he called Esau his older son…’ 21 Isaac said to Jacob, “Please come near, that I may feel you, my son, whether you are really my son Esau or not.”

King David could not get warm.

1 Kings 1:1 Now King David was old, advanced in years; and they put covers on him, but he could not get warm. Therefore his servants said to him, “Let a young woman, a virgin, be sought for our lord the king, and let her stand before the king, and let her care for him; and let her lie in your bosom, that our lord the king may be warm.” So they sought for a lovely young woman throughout all the territory of Israel, and found Abishag the Shunammite, and brought her to the king. The young woman was very lovely; and she cared for the king, and served him; but the king did not know her.

Notice the end of 1 Kings 1:4 says “but the king did not know her.” She was in his bed. But they had no sexual relations.

Getting back to the glory shining on Moses’ face: I heard about families affected by God’s glory during the Azusa Street Revival in California in the early 1900s. They lived in divine health and healing. If one of the children was injured, they would pray right away and the child would be healed. In fact, Sid Roth has interviewed a man who was one of those children who is still alive to tell about the glory cloud in the church. It was so heavy the children played hide and seek in it!

Matthew 13:24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. 26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. 27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ 28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ 29 But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”

Let the ‘good wheat’ the Father planted continue to grow and the ‘tares’ or weeds the enemy planted grow with them until the harvest. I’ve had an authentic example of this in my garden. Some of my pea plants are growing right out of a weed, and I found I cannot pull up the weed without pulling up the plant. In our life, there are ‘tares’ sown among the Church brethren, but taking them out before harvest ruins both the good and the bad. What do you think this looks like in practice with people? Have you seen an example in your own life?

Racial unrest? Check out https://civilrighteousness.org/ for help to process the racial unrest from a Biblical perspective and take action to beat back the tide of divide. I heard about this sit when Shawn Bolz interviewed Jonathan Tremaine (JT) Thomas on Exploring the Prophetic Season 3, Episode 50 [I watch these episodes on Podbean].

Another podcast I follow is Bethel Church Sermon of the Week. The one that intrigued me is The Game is Rigged from July 11, 2020. As Dr. Kevin Zadai says, “The game is rigged. There’s no way we can lose because God has a plan and failure is not part of it.” Games have rules and consequences, so people know how to play. The Hunger Games show us a zero-sum ending where you kill before they kill you. In Jesus, we have a higher level of play than this.

We need to learn how to live from Scriptures, not the world’s game makers. Jesus sets us up for success. We need to fight the kind of fights He did. Look for redemption, make room for apology and forgiveness, and have restoration as a goal. Not the ‘cancel culture’ with an accusatory attitude. The woman caught in adultery; He did not condemn, but told her “go and sin no more.” May we be redemptive and restorative in our battles here on earth as He was. See each person as God sees them, a beloved one that needs to be gently put back on the right path. Learn what is going on, lean in to connect with the person; not the mantra or movement. And then use confrontation in love. Offering restoration will bring forth good fruits of salvation and more workers into the kingdom.

Shalom Dear Readers!

My current reading list

Our Weapons are not Carnal!

I get daily emails from Destiny Image with encouraging excerpts from their author’s books, podcasts, and videos. Included are weekly deals for 99 cent kindle books or a discount on print books. This has added to my book collection on my shelf as well as my Kindle app, so I am reading several at a time. They all mesh with what the Spirit is teaching me.

  • The Prophetic Warrior Operating in your true prophetic authority by Emma Stark
  • The Way of Life Experiencing the culture of heaven on earth by Bill Johnson
  • A Life Ablaze Ten simple keys to living on fire for God by Rick Renner
  • Study Guide: The Notes of a Warrior The secrets of Spiritual warfare: Volume One by Dr. Kevin L. Zadai

Prophetic Warrior and Way of Life I purchased through Destiny Image discounts. https://love-to-read@norimediagroup.com A Life Ablaze was sent to me because I’m on the promotional team for Rick Renner’s new book Last Days Survival Guide, which is already so popular they ran out of advanced copies! I got Kevin Zadai’s Study Guide along with his 3 CD teaching set on his website https://kevinzadai.com/ I have the first CD set on ‘repeat’ in my car player.

So what am I learning? First, as a child of God through Christ, I have authority as well as power given to me by Jesus. With these, I am to walk as a manifest child of God, bringing Heaven culture here on earth. It would not save me to not hear God; you accept Jesus when you hear Him calling.

On page 41 of Rick’s book he quotes R. A. Torrey, “Ninety-nine Christians in every hundred are merely playing at Bible study; and therefore ninety-nine Christians in every hundred are mere weaklings when they could be giants.” Rick adds: “When Christians could be spiritual giants, they are often weaklings because they have ignored the source of fuel that could empower them to be mighty!

What fuel can build up your holy faith? Paul admonished Timothy in 2 Timothy 1:6 “Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. The following things keep us spiritually ablaze.

Rick Renner’s 10 keys to being Ablaze

  1. God’s Word
  2. Prayer
  3. Holy Spirit
  4. Worship
  5. for Souls
  6. Generosity
  7. Holiness
  8. Humility
  9. Authority
  10. Fear of the LORD

Often we give up the authority God gives us without realizing it. Man’s authority was first given to satan when Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the garden. The devil has power, but no authority to use it without stealing from us. We still fall for his lies when we have power AND authority to put him in his place. We are amid an onslaught from the enemy of our souls. Let us learn to stand in the power and authority Jesus died and arose to give us and beat back the evil poised to take us out.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Ephesians 6:12

Take your authority and bind those things not in heaven and loose those things which are. Earth is the first heaven where we have dominion [see Adam’s charge in Genisis], above that is the second heaven where satan rules. Next is the third heaven where we sit with Christ beside Father God, high above all principalities and powers, rulers, and hosts of wickedness. Let us learn to rule and reign as Christ equips us to do. We find the whole armor of God listed in Ephesians 6 outlined and explained in A Life Ablaze.

Jesus said, “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Matthew 18:18

Let us stand on sure footing, connecting with the Spirit within which is heaven amid our very being. Let it out in your sphere of influence and see what happens when you put wickedness in its place under your feet. Keep reminding the devil of his destiny in the lake of fire and rejoice, as Jesus told us to do.

17 Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” 18 And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

Luke 10:17-20

Shalom my dear readers!

Hey There!

Hey you!!!!!! You’re probably thinking I’ve used too many exclamation marks, Lol. Don’t blame me, I’m excited because The Lord is on the move! Don’t continue to get distracted by what is happening around you. Don’t take to heart the dire news feed. Trust that Father God has a plan to redeem this trial for His glory as they glorified Him when Lazarus walked out of his tomb in grave clothes after four days dead, a foretaste of the power of Christ’s resurrection [John chapter 11].

Lamentations 3:22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.

Notice this says “every morning”? It includes this morning in that promise and tomorrow. Let us continue to encourage each other with psalms, hymns, and songs of praise. If you don’t have a song of joy in your heart, ask Holy Spirit to provide one. This world is getting darker, but that means our light is growing brighter as we walk in Christ. Our salt is getting saltier as we share what God has done for us! How will others know of the goodness of God toward those He loves if we don’t share His goodness we’ve experienced? If we join in rehearsing all the problems and how the world is ‘going to hell in a handbasket’, we just add fuel to the funeral pyre that’s being built with words and chaos in our nation and around the world. I can see the forces of evil dancing with glee as we devour each other without them lifting a finger!

The Parable of the Fig Tree

Luke 21:29 Then He spoke to them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. 30 When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. 31 So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. 32 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. 33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”

Yes, notice what is happening, but do not be in awe or let things shake you. The kingdom of God is near, which means His glory is ready to fall as Heaven culture is manifest on earth. Keep trusting our faithful Father God.

The Importance of Watching

Luke 21:34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Notice the things that trip us up: carousing, drunkenness, cares of this life. Translate these to overeating, binge watching, lost in a video game… crisis or drama in your life fed by social media.

So what should we do as the day of the Lord comes closer? Watch to see what God is doing, pray always, and accept the cleansing blood of Christ Jesus daily. I pray as we draw nearer to the Lord, righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit be your portion. Amen.

End Times?

In Luke 21 Jesus’ disciples were asking what the signs of the end of the age would look like. We have been in the Church age and “last days” since Jesus died and rose from the dead and now the end is closer than before. There has been an anti-christ in each generation, but THE anti-christ truly waiting in the wings? Jesus wanted to illuminate His disciples and teach them how to act and react in the times we’re in. Let’s see what Jesus had to say.

Luke 21:8 And He said: “Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and, ‘The time has drawn near.’ Therefore do not go after them. But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately.”

10 Then He said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. 12 But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake. 13 But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony. 14 Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer; 15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist. 16 You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death. 17 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. 18 But not a hair of your head shall be lost. 19 By your patience possess your souls.”

This passage packs a lot in! Do not be deceived, do not be terrified. Terrible things must come, but you will be brought before rulers so you can testify of Jesus! Holy Spirit will fill your mouth with wisdom that will confound the wise. Even though you’ll be hated for Christ’s sake, not a hair of your head shall be lost, so let patience possess your souls.

Many of our brothers and sisters in various lands are experiencing persecution as we speak. I’ve heard testimonies of people in jail witnessing to those around them and revival breaking out. There are many testimonies of the Lord’s saving power and provision. Depths of the Father’s love have manifested, miracle provisions strengthened, and healings, signs and miracles have paved the way for the Gospel. These days I pray the fruits of the Spirit be so ripe in me they squirt out of me when I’m squeezed.

So, are we to prepare for “Jacob’s troubles”; hide away, buy gold and precious metals, stockpile food, water, TOILET PAPER?? Should we despair, throw up our hands and look for Jesus to come on the clouds? Or are we poised for a third Great Awakening and the biggest revival ever?

Mark 13:8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows. *Literally birth pangs

Listening to various prophets and aligning their words with Scripture, I believe we are amid birth pangs. If you’ve ever experienced actual birth pangs, you know they are not steady or intense at first. As labor proceeds, the pains come more frequent, steady and increase in intensity. I’ve had labors last about four hours, although it could have been longer. First labor I had a foot pressing on my rib the entire day before and didn’t go into noticeable labor until my water broke at 11 p.m. and we headed to the hospital and delivered within less than an hour. My fourth pregnancy I started bleeding before I really had any contractions, put in a birthing bed at midnight with erratic contractions until they administered pitocin at 10 A.M. and delivered our third son about an hour later. Before hard, fast contractions, that labor had simmered for most of 12 hours. In these days of increasing pressure and persecution; Spirit labor pains, how should we conduct ourselves as the Body of Christ? Let’s look at some more Scriptures.

Ephesians 5:18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ…

Let your spirit take over and commune with God’s Holy Spirit. Encourage and admonish each other and spur each other on to magnificent works and thanksgiving.

Proverbs 4:23 Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Keep your heart in the Word and keep a sweet word on your tongue. Filled with the Holy Spirit, this gets much easier!

1 Peter 5:6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Be patient and humble, letting all your anxious thoughts and angry thoughts lay on God. This means stop watching all the dire news and perilous predictions. Many come from the second heaven where the devil resides. Don’t take to heart the prophecies and dreams reported that glorify the enemy. Ask the Lord to give you visions and dreams about what He is doing. Ask Him to give you understanding. This is part of the relationship Jesus bought us by His sacrifice. Join King Jesus being salt and light in your part of this darkening world.

Philippians 1:13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

As our warfare against evil continues. Forget the things behind because they’re gone forever. Reach forward to the things ahead as you rest in the Father’s love and provision for this day. Keep pressing on to the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Fight the good fight and pray for God’s will to be done. I have joined the prayer movement found at:

This is not just for the USA; other nations are joining as well. I encourage you to go to this site and sign up for an hour to pray for our nation from now through November. I chose 6-7 a.m. Monday -Friday. This may become a normal routine and continue past the elections! In these troubled, awesome times, I pray Shalom be upon my dear readers!

Is God In Control?

Many things are coming into my life this week. I’m collating them to help make sense. Join me as I ponder!

Kris Vallotton says, “God is in charge, but not in control.”

Kevin Zadai says, “Each one of us has a book written about us, and there are people in hell right now who have this beautiful book in Heaven written about them. Those in hell chose not to live out their book for whatever reason, but we do not have to be like the ones who faded back.

The Only Person in the Universe You Can Trust

Robert Henderson was speaking about President Trump with his wife accompanying him. She said God told her, “President Trump was not My first choice. The reason I had to use President Trump is because the one I would have used was aborted in the womb years ago. I needed one that would stand.”

Robert Henderson’s Four Dreams about President Trump; YouTube

Whether you love, hate or otherwise think of President Donald J. Trump, you need to pray for him and his family. They are under mighty attack that won’t let up. The enemy wants the spirit of One World Government to take over this land, taking Believer’s rights, freedoms and voice away; destroying Biblical values.

President Trump has broken that spirit that was coming on our country like a freight train. God has given us a brief window of grace. Even if he is not a Christian, we need to use our authority in heaven to pray and make way for God’s will to be done through President Trump. Pray for ‘My President Donald J. Trump’. Henderson says God told him we need a Donald; a world ruler in the Whitehouse and not a John-the beloved. I urge you to trust God and let Him deal with any faults you see. I’m reminded; he who has no sin may throw the first stone. I sure wouldn’t want the President’s job and all that’s being thrown at him; would you?

The LORD took an enormous risk giving us free will, but that is why Jesus is the Lamb of God slain before the foundations of the world. God had His son, but wanted a family to share their love with. For our God; Father, Son, and Spirit, it was worth the risk. Let us take the grace that is extended to us, lay down our own agendas, likes, dislikes, feelings; and determine to do the Will of the Father and make use of those books in heaven that are ours to appropriate. While you’re at it, ask Him to open President Donald J. Trump’s book for him. We need to use the authority we have in prayer through Jesus’ sacrifice and fight for God’s will to be done here on earth as it is written in heaven.

Isaiah 6:3 tells us the whole earth is full of His glory; I think that means there is glory in all creation, even humans. What would happen if we looked at other people and spoke out the glory of God we see and not their past or actions of the present? One of my sons easily falls into troubles. He is not an inferior person; he makes bad choices, but that does not mean God hasn’t planted a destiny in him and does not love him.

Father, forgive us for not trusting You. We have not because we ask not, then don’t even get what we ask because we have selfish motives to waste it on ourself. Thank You for giving us our President Donald J. Trump to give us a reprieve so more of the precious souls here on earth may come into Your kingdom. Remind us always that Your will is that not one of these would be lost, so infuse us with Your heart of love for all people. Holy Spirit, we do not know what to pray, so pray through us and bring to mind how God sees the one in front of us. Thank You, Lord, for the mercy and grace we can obtain at Your throne. We humbly bow before You, laying down our will to pick up what You have for each of us to fulfill our destiny in Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May Musings…Scars

The past two days I took a good look at my scars. I have them on four toes from bunion surgery and 3 on my breasts from lumpectomies and cancer removal. Looking into videos for Ravi Zacharias after hearing of his death last evening, I found Naomi Zacharias speaking at the Liberty University Convocation on YouTube. She spoke about her task at RZIM [Ravi Zacharias International Ministry], heading their ministry to the sex trafficked. I’ll share what the Spirit brought to mind this morning, putting my thoughts together from all this. Note: I’m using the new WordPress Editor so forgive me while I’m learning the new tech!

Psalm 100:3 Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and [a]not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Naomi noted that individual means that which cannot be changed or divided. We are individually made by the Lord God, created for His plans and purposes, so we should be an individual; not trying to be like someone else. We also should take other people as the individual they are.

Matthew 5:45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

God’s love is personal for each individual. It’s also impartial because He sends good things like rain and sunshine to the just and the unjust. This tells me we need to not be judgemental. Naomi posed the question: “If a prostitute came into your church, would she be welcomed as a child of God or shunned and held in her sins?” (I kind of paraphrased what she said). We want the lost, hurting, messed up to come into the fold and find Jesus, but are we ready to take them “just as I am”, filthy, dirty, smelly…foul language, addictions and all?

This led me to the next passage:

Luke 17:6 So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.

John 20:24 Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”…

The day Jesus showed up in the Disciples’ midst:

27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” 28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, [f]“Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

All NKJ Scriptures from Bible Gateway

This brings me back to the observation of my scars. This morning referring to my scars I said, “The tracks of my trials remind me You are faithful!” Jesus paid the full price for our healing. Jesus our Lord and Holy Spirit hear our prayers and pray with us. (as the Bible says, Jesus is ever interceding for us at the Throne of God) Healing is a tough subject because we’ve heard of miracles happening and people instantly healed. Then there are those who are healed by doctors; medicine, therapies, surgeries…and we wonder why things happen the way they do.

We see faith as something we need more of. Sometimes we think we need to “muster up” our faith. Well, God gives us the first mustard seed of faith when we first believe. Faith only grows as it’s tested and we see the faithfulness of God in our trials and troubles. God doesn’t put those things on us, but may allow them. [see John 10:10] Jesus has a new heavenly body, but it still has the scars from the nail holes and the spear in His side. These show the price paid for our salvation and all that accompanies it; overcoming power. In Revelation we read that the Saints overcame by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony and did not love their lives to the death. My scars remind me of the Lord’s faithfulness to heal; I’ve had doctors and nurses remark how well I healed from my surgeries. It’s a good testimony of the grace I have in my body because of Jesus’ provision and faithfulness.

One last thought that Naomi reinforced: there’s no sacred and secular in our destinies from God. When we belong to Jesus, every part of our lives is dedicated to Him. Wherever you are, you are a missionary; on a mission to bring God’s kingdom to your part of this earth. The person who needs what you have is probably sitting right next to you!

I leave you to soldier on in the life God has given you. May you recognize the weapons of warfare that are not carnal that Apostle Paul spoke of in Ephesians 6 and the talents, gifts and abilities you’ve been endowed with from Father God. Use them well! Shalom dear ones!
