My name is Heidi Honey; yes, that’s spelled right!  I’ve been married to a Honey for going on 37 years.  When we were dating, it took about three times of asking my friend what John’s last name was before I realized she really WAS saying Honey!  As my husband says: Just what the bees make!  I usually say:  “Just like the book, just like the bees; easy to remember!

I’ve been a stay-at-home mom, raised 4 children, and have home schooled. We’ve had two sons in the U.S. Army and one in the U.S. Air Force.  We’ve hosted many foreign exchange students and provided a home for a teen who aged out of his foster program.

Musically I’ve sung in choirs and choruses, including a mass choir at Carnegie Hall,   been in concert band, marching band, village band and a small orchestra. I played french horn, an E-flat alto pack horn and spent some time playing a keyboard.  I’ve sung tenor since 7th grade when I helped the boys learn to sing parts.  I’ve given my gift of singing to God since I met Jesus Christ when I was 20.  I  currently sing backup vocals for our worship team.

I’ve done childcare in my home, house cleaning and elder care, I’ve worked in a Senior Living community,  daycare, middle school, Dunkin’ Donuts.  Also, as a Hospice volunteer, Carenet pregnancy center volunteer, a foreign exchange coordinator for          EF Foundation for foreign study’s high school year program.  I currently do editing, proof reading and office help for a small Christian & Messianic publisher.

Church-wise, I grew up in a Presbyterian church, spent the past 30-some years in a charismatic independent church. Recently, we’ve moved and I’ve joined a Spirit filled, Bible teaching church to be part of. Over the years, I’ve traveled to Ukraine, Israel, Haiti, and many places in the states and several in Canada.

I believe the Bible is the inerrant word of God, written through men, inspired by God’s Holy Spirit. It’s a life-giving book of Books that reveals God’s dealings with Creation (including us) and how we should live with the help of Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit of God.  It’s all ultimately about LOVE!

All this to say, I’ve done a lot of living and I think I’ve just started!  Join me as I continue on this Pilgrim road to Heaven where the possibilities are endless!
