Gathering Musings to End September

Welcome to another round of gathering my thoughts. It’s been another busy week, another two rounds of tomatoes processed, several more BLT sandwich meals and more s’mores roasted over the gas burner for an easy dessert treat. Today it’s only 78 degrees F. here with a pleasant breeze instead of high 80s and still air. Did I mention it’s hard to find a couple of consecutive days with no rain? Well, this week is it, no rain forecast until Friday. John is out weed whacking before mowing for the first time in a week and he worked on sealing and patching the driveway today. The clouds were amazing on our drive into the city to get more driveway patch, so, many photos captured; I’ll share a couple this week. God is busy and so are angels, so His ‘billboard is busy!

School has begun in many places and will start in a week in some regions. We have gotten first day of school photos from three of our four grand families. I’ll share the effects of the first days of school on a kindergartener here:

I remember falling asleep at the dinner table when I was her age!

Just listen to a bit of the news lately and you’ll see our Father is giving us multiple opportunities to pray, give, and go! to help people in various places that the enemy of our souls is working hard to steal, kill and destroy. There are many ministries to support to send aid to Haiti, Afghanistan, and other places where the need is great and any amount can help. We had a discussion in our Mission Task Force meeting at church about the effects of missionaries not being allowed and the church in persecuted areas stepping up to the plate to further the gospel among their own people. If you haven’t read Brother K. P. Yohannan’s book Revolution in World Missions, I recommend this as pertinent reading for this new era of God. The natives receive the Gospel, get trained in the Bible, then they can easily minister to their own people because they have intimate knowledge of the culture and the language. They need our prayers, giving and teaching them Scriptures to support, but will go forth and fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus in the place the Lord has stationed them. How much could you give to one of their missions en leu of one plane ticket, language lessons, and all the other things that go along with traveling as a foreign missionary – even short term?

While working on tomatoes, I listened to/watched Elijah Streams Special Live Broadcast with Robin and Robin Bullock.

They talked about what God has to say about Governor Andrew Cuomo, his lieutenant governor, Biden and Harris, and the prophets, among other things. Robin D. is a great Bible teacher and prophet and his wife Robin is a gentle prophet and excellent help mate. I just received Robin D. Bullock’s book God Is Absolutely Good. I look forward to hearing the full story in this book because Robin shares some each week and I’m eager to read it entirely.

I finish with some words from Brother Timothy that lend well to what we are currently experiencing in this world and in the Spirit world.

2 Timothy 3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

3:10 You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, 11 persecutions, sufferings — false teachers and deceivers will abound.

3:14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Walk in the light of the Lord and do not fear what they can do to the body, but fear the One who can throw body and soul into hell! Remember to trust in the LORD and do good, no matter what’s going on around you. Be still and know that I Am God… in all situations. Shalom, my friends. Catch you next week, Lord willing.
