Communism?

Nothing New

The Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes:

Ecclesiastes 1:9-10 NKJV – That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done,
And there is nothing new under the sun.
10 Is there anything of which it may be said,  “See, this is new?”
It has already been in ancient times before us.

Nothing-Lusts

It may look different, be packaged differently, sound different, but it’s not a new concept. Human nature does not change: all are subject to lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, and pride of life:

1 John 2:15-16 NKJV – . 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.

Previous Revolution

Harris says Marx, Lenin, and Stalin’s vision of revolution was driven by class conflict. Think of the French revolution, or even Robin Hood, among other historical generations. These revolts were based on rich against poor/ leaders against common people.

Today’s Culture

He says what we’re witnessing today in our country is driven by a “cultural Marxism “.  It’s not really about economic lines, but racial, ethnic, and gender categories. In place of class hierarchy, we have victim mentality and perceived oppression. 

Religion/Communism

Think about this; “Religion must be subordinated or extinguished because communism cannot share moral authority.” [Harris]

Presidents/Elections

Before becoming President, Barack Obama was a city planner. His job was to find divisive topics in the community, and then find ways to stir up conflict, pitting one neighbor against another. Did his work change much when he became our president?

During the last presidential election season, I hit a nerve for a sister in Christ with a post I forwarded on Facebook.  She came back at me with a vengeance. 

How to Respond?

It was difficult for me to figure out how to respond, and she came back so viciously, my teenage granddaughter got on the feed and told her to stop being mean to her grandma [me]. I finished with a question, “If the election does not go the way you want, will God still been on the throne for you?” She admitted He would.

Soft Answer/ Wisdom

It was difficult, but I experienced how a soft answer turns away wrath, as Proverbs says. I have other friends who I’ve learned not to mention the name of Trump around. As far as it is in my power, I work to keep peace among the brethren and sisters.

New Commandment?

1 John 2:6-10 NLT – A New Commandment
7 Dear friends, I am not writing a new commandment for you; rather it is an old one you have had from the very beginning.

This old commandment—to love one another—is the same message you heard before.

8 Yet it is also new. Jesus lived the truth of this commandment, and you also are living it. For the darkness is disappearing, and the true light is already shining.

If we are living in the light of Christ Jesus, why are we at odds with others who also claim to live in this light? This is a time to waken from our slumber. We must go deeper into our connection with our Savior and live in the light, authority, and power Jesus has given us.

Living In The Light?
9 If anyone claims, “I am living in the light,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is still living in darkness. 10 Anyone who loves a fellow believer is living in the light and does not cause others to stumble.

We are in a new era, a pivotal time in God’s kingdom here on earth. We are called to be manifest children of God. We are the salt that adds flavor, make sure you are speaking the truth in love!

Live as Children of God

You have become His child through faith, and you now live in your Father’s house. Do not let our enemy trip you up with fear or false truths. Seek wisdom in the Holy Spirit, and keep your mind on the things of God’s Word.

So… do not fear socialism or communism.  Do not live in fear for our country or our children and grandchildren.  If our heavenly Father has been faithful to you, He will continue to be faithful to your generations. 

Perfect Timing

After all, He knows the perfect timing for each soul that comes to live on this earth. He equips us with what we need to thrive in whatever era we are part of.

Our job is to pray for them. Keep walking in the light, faithfully loving, and declaring truth, in Jesus name.
